Ocean Cruises

(3 customer reviews)

Ocean cruises can take you all around the world. From the warm tropical waters of the Caribbean to the ends of the earth at the North and South Poles and to the Far East, ocean cruises can take you anywhere.

Ocean liners vary in size and offer different levels of comfort. You can sail on a small expedition ship or one that can accommodate 5000 passengers comfortably. Room accommodations also range from small rooms with no windows to deluxe suites with only ocean views. Cruises can accommodate solo travelers as well as larger groups traveling together. Entertainment and activity options are only limited by your interests. Some activities include ice skating, surfing, sky diving, and swimming. You can also shop, see Vegas-style shows, and go on excursions. Even if your vacation plans include sitting by the pool and napping, you can relax with adult-only areas and spa treatments.

Meals are included on ocean cruises. Nearly every type of cuisine is offered on board, including sushi, barbecue, pasta, and kid-friendly options. Cruises with famous chefs, including Guy Fieri, Jacques Pepin, and Geoffrey Zakarian, allow you will experience five-star dining on the open seas.

Ocean cruises have fitness clubs and spas to reinvigorate your body, libraries and card rooms to keep your mind occupied, as well as shopping, art auctions, and wine classes. You name it, you can do it.

Some ports you may visit:

KETCHIKAN is a great port to explore, hike through the forest, canoe down a lake and learn about the Native American past in the area. You can even zipline through the rainforest.

SKAGWAY, where you can pan for gold while learning about the history of the gold rush era. How about a white water rafting trip for a more adventurous excursion? Or take a train ride along the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad.

SITKA is a cultural melting pot for Alaska Natives and Russian decedents. There are many remnants of heritage here, such as St. Michaels Cathedral and the Russian Bishop House.

JUNEAU because you simply must visit Alaska’s capital. You can kayak or canoe close to Mendenhall Glacier. Visit a viewing area where brown bears are protected to live in their natural habitat. Or see various sea animals such as seals and sea lions. Even go whale watching for the impressive Humpback Whales.

Q: Who travels to Alaska?

A: Alaska can be considered a bucket list destination for many travelers, especially those who don’t live on the west coast. From toddlers to the elderly, people of all ages are traveling to Alaska. Cruise ships and excursions have something for everyone, so you don’t have to wait until you’re older to explore.

Q: What does an Alaska cruise offer?

A: Alaska offers beautiful scenery unlike any other. From glaciers and fjords to mountains and forests, it holds a lot of history. Our 49th state has many influences from Russia, Norway, Asia, and more.

Q: Where do the ships leave from?

A: You can cruise to Alaska from many ports on the west coast. Many ships leave and return to Seattle, some leave from Vancouver and end in Anchorage or reverse. Some even start in Los Angeles or San Francisco and travel north.

Q: When are cruises?

A: Alaska cruise season begins at the end of April and ends in October due to the cold winters. July and August are peak seasons when the weather is the warmest. Spring and late fall offer better pricing, however, the weather might not be your friend. Snow could be on the ground, which makes for pretty pictures, but not so much fun for hiking. The weather could play a factor in your shore excursion being canceled, especially if it’s a boat or helicopter tour. September offers the chance for cruisers to see the Northern Lights and some great end-of-the-season shopping. It all depends on what you’re looking to get out of your travel experience and we can help you decide!

Q: Why take an Alaskan Cruise?

A: Alaska is on many people’s bucket list. It is intriguing, culturally diverse, and has so much Native Alaskan history. From the Gold Rush-era to the Russian influence, you will be amazed by what you discover.

I am writing to share with you our appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Stephanie Daniels for cruises taken by our family September 2012, this past July, and will take tomorrow.
Stephanie replies promptly to all inquiries, has always been respectful and courteous, and has ensured that our travel plans have been well coordinated. She has enabled us to receive excellent value and has personally taken responsibility for making travel coordination seem almost flawless. My husband and I enjoy working with her for our travel plans. She is a true asset to your company, and I would refer any of my friends and relatives to her. Thank you for having such excellent personnel like Stephanie available to assist and work with your customers.

Our Alaska cruise trip was very nice. We really enjoyed every part of it. Even after coming back for more than 2 weeks I am still in vacation mode. I got photos organized a bit now. I’d like to share some photos with you. They were from Juneau’s whale watching & Mendenhall glacier tour, and from Skagway’s white pass summit train, and from Glacier Bay national park which was the most beautiful stop.

Thank you very much for your excellent professional services on booking this cruise for our big group of 23 people. It’s highly appreciated that you offered us the best deal, and you consistently gave prompt responses to every question and every change/add request from us. You are always very warm and friendly which made the whole process more pleasant.

I’m sure we will come to you again when we plan travel in the future. I will continue to recommend you to more friends.

Just wanted to say thank you for picking a great cruise for us. The getaway was
fantastic. More then we expected. We had a great time. The shuttle company that you
used was great. He was on time and very nice. Definitely use him again.

We are certainly going to go on another cruise in the future and will book that with
you and most likely with Norwegian.

Again, thank you for everything you did, it was the best vacation we ever had.
